How does a photo booth work?

Your guests step into the booth, get ready with any props, touch the screen and strike a pose.
The first photo is taken and you can strike a new pose ready for the next. The touch screen will count down 5-second intervals between the photos. The camera will take either 3-4 photos, depending on the artwork on your photo strips.
When the photos are taken, you are done.
Collect your photo-strip and enjoy.

Are the photo strips printed immediately?

Yes, as soon as the last photo is taken, the strips are printed and cut to size ready for your guest to collect. If you choose a guest book, our attendant will stick one strip in the guestbook for your guest to write a personalised message.

How many photos are included?

We include unlimited photo strips in the time allowed, so make sure your guests know its free and everyone will have a ball.

Can we have copies of the photos taken at the event?

At the end of the event, we provide you with a USB with all the photo strips for your enjoyment/blackmail… joking, have fun with the photos.

Can we hire Goofy Booth outside Mackay?

How do I book a Goofy Booth?

First, contact us to check your event date is available. One of our friendly Goofs will send you an info pack and confirm the availability of your date.
To secure your date a deposit is to be paid.
If you would like we can then set you up a payment plan ensuring the balance is paid, or you need to make the final payment 2 weeks prior to your event.
It’s as simple as that. Our Goofs will take care of the Photo Booth for you, and we will be in contact with you prior to the event to set up your photo templates etc.

Do we need to run the Photo Booth our self?

No… as part of the hire, you get your very own Goof to come, set up, run the booth during the event, help your guests if they have any problem or answer any questions.
If you have a guest book they help guest stick the strips in and allow guests to write a personal message.

Can we get magnets on the photo strips?

Absolutely… Book magnet strips when you book your Goofy booth and your friendly Goof will stick a magnet to the back of your guest’s photo strip for them so they can hang them up as soon as they get home.

Are you available in Airlie Beach?

Yes – We are happy to travel to provide our photo booth to your event. We do however need to charge a travel fee and this amount will depend if your event is in Airlie Beach or on the Whitsunday Islands. Contact us for a price.

How many people can fit in Goofy Booth?

Our Photo Booth is one of the largest photo booths around and our current record is 16 people. This should be more than enough room to have some fun with your friends.

Can we have Goofy Booth at an outdoors event?

Yes, as long as there is access to power and the weather is fine.
If your event is during the day a roof or marquee would be preferred to prevent excess light entering the booth and affecting the photos.
We have done a few events outside in backyards, football clubs and sailing clubs.
Level ground is also preferred as the safety of your guests is always our top priority.

How many times can my guest use the photo booth?

We find there is usually a photo booth hog at every party. You know the one that has to be in every photo.
That is totally fine and currently, our record is 18 times at the one event.
The booth is there for your guests to enjoy.

Are the photos good quality?

All images are captured with a Canon DSLR so they are high-resolution images. They are then combined into a photo layout and printed on a Dye Sublimation printer. This printer uses the same technology as many photo labs and provides to with a photo print that resists fingerprints and will not run is they get wet.

Do you accept Credit Cards?

Yes. We can accept payments via Visa, MasterCard, and Pay Pal for an additional fee of 2% of the transaction.

Enclosed Photo Booth

This is our stand photo booth and what most people want.
Enclosed Photo Booths are where we include the photo booth with the camera housing and printer.
This is great for parties and weddings where the guests are a little uneasy about posing in front of others.
Most Wedding Receptions go with the enclosed photo booth as it allows the guests to loosen up and you get the best photos as a result.

Open Air Photo Booth

Goofy Booth can be set up as an Open Air Photo Booth if you choose.
This means that just the camera housing and printer is used.
An Open Air Photo Booth needs less space to set up, allows your own background, banners or posters to be used and brings the party out into the open.
This style of photo booth is great for corporate events and company functions where you plan to use event banners.
