Our Seating Plan

Wedding Invite Monogram

I found a few people interested in ideas for Seating Plans so I thought I would share the seating plan we used for our wedding. For those who want a different idea when it comes to your wedding feel free to use the idea.

How we made our Seating Plan

We were planning to take the photo but we ran out of time and the weather was less than pleasant.

This was a composite of a sunrise I had previously photographed of the Marian Mill, and a portrait of us.

I very roughly traced our portrait as I had limited time, then placed the black silhouette on the sunrise photo.

We included our monogram that we used for all our invites as well.

About the order

We decided to order the guests but Alphabetical order of surname as I have been to a number of weddings where it can be difficult to find your name if the guests are listed by table number.

The guests don’t know what table they are at so this ends up a bottle neck while most people spent time going through every table looking for their name.

This is of cause a person preference so do the layout how you prefer.

How we printed it

This was a great way of making a seating plan as we didn’t need to be too crafty and was very cost effective.

  • We got a large canvas from the Reject Shop.
  • Got a A2 Poster printed at Office Works.
  • Then simply some spray glue from Spotlight.
